Cage Fighting

Saturday night Jeremy and I attended the cage fighting event in Evanston. I can honestly say that I didnt want to go, but Jeremy knew a guy fighting. I dont understand why this sport was invented or why humans feel the need to beat the CRAP out of eachother, the biggest thing I dont get is why people pay to go watch other people hurt eachother. So here are some pics, not of last night, but of some of the same people in other fights.
My heart went out to this guy, the fight he fought in was the most exciting of the night. This guy took many blows to the face, but never fell. By round 3 his opponent was able to trip him, but this guy was able from the bottom wrap his legs around the other guy and beat him in his face. When the ref finally made them both stand up, this kid and the other guy had blood all over their bodies, this guy had broken his opponents nose and so worn out stood up to still fight. He took a couple more blows to the face and round 3 was over. He was such a good sport and still standing but barely gave the other guy a hug, patted him on the back and then held his opponents hand in the air as if he won. I was so confused, but this poor kid pretty much was knocked out but still standing, he had to be helped out of the cage because everytime he took a step he looked like he would fall over. He was such a great sport that he became my favorite fighter of the night.

I will have to say that this will be my first and last cage fight that I attend. I am glad that my husband enjoyed the fights and I reminded him all night about how much he is loved for me to sit through the 17 fights of people being punched, kicked, choked, thrown , slammed, I think you get the picture.

That would be pretty cool to see.

Sounds like a blast!!! I still can't believe that little old Evanston had something like that. You are a wonderful wife.

UMMMM! You said the "C" word!! I hope that Jeremy will go with you to get a pedicure or something femmy. Yeah, he went to Twilight with you, but cage fighting? That's going the extra mile as a wife! Enjoy your pedicure Jeremy!

Hey Kim
yeh right, you know you wanted to go check out the men in a cage. That sounds inticing huh. Just kidding. I have heard of the cage fighting but I didn't know they had it here in Evanston. Carter did it a few times in Ogden. Boxing runs in Kalons family. Your blog is cut. I had a hard time finding it but I found it off of Maureens blog. Your a doll, I am glad we are friends, lets shoot for VT next week, maybe:)
